Flying Takes Fuel

You can help us in several ways…Maybe you would like to purchase a barrel of aviation fuel to sustain the KWS overflights necessary to supress poaching. A barrel of fuel costs $450.00 at today’s prices. Due to budget constraints, each KWS aircraft is only alloted 6 barrels of fuel per month for routine patrols. By purchasing fuel, we can dramically extend the patrol coverage and reduce poaching activity.

Perhaps you would like to help us provide training for KWS pilots. There is a continuing need for recurrent training as pilots retire or leave KWS. New pilots must be taught the critical skills necessary to operate safely in a difficult environment. This saves lives and aircraft. Flight Assist will provide this training as requested by KWS.

More Planes=More Patrols=Less Poaching

We also plan to help provide additional aircraft to support the KWS program. This is a longer term goal, but if you wish to make a donation towards this effort, please let us know. We are in the early stages of this project, but we hope to locate a suitable aircraft, have it refurbished and shipped to Kenya as soon as possible.

Donations to the Flight Assist program can be made through Austin Community Foundation.
